About us

mamma

Hi, this is Jenny. I have devoted the last 31 years of my life to parenting and during that time learned so much!  Was I the perfect parent? No. Did I love parenting? Yes. Guess what, there are no perfect parents, only parents who really love their children, enjoy being around them and want them to grow up to be happy, responsible, independent adults. So, if you fit into that category, like I do, visit our site, read our ideas, ask questions and let’s learn together!  I have raised 7 children, including a set of twins. I recently graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Development. So, now my hope is to combine what I learned in college with what I learned from personal experience and help other parents so they will not have to learn everything the hard way!

Lindsey here.  Thanks for stopping by!  I have always loved fun, adventure, and traveling.  Fresh out of high school I headed over seas and taught English in China as a volunteer.  It was then that I fell in love with teaching and decided to major in education.  I attended ASU and got a degree in Elementary Education.  I student taught a 5th/6th grade class.  Upon graduation I was hired as a second grade teacher and taught that for 4 years.  During that time I was able to interact with all kinds of kids from various backgrounds, family situations, upbringing, attentions levels, and personalities.  I got to teach and discipline children who were incredibly obedient and naturally helpful.  I also taught students who came from homes which lacked structure, who had discipline issues, difficulty paying attention, learning disabilities, and more.  Teaching, disciplining, loving, and guiding up to 30 kids at a time has taught me A LOT!  I look forward to sharing what I have learned with teachers and parents.

We envision this blog as a place where we can share ideas we feel will be helpful.  We also want it to serve as a forum: a place where you can ask questions or provide scenarios and we give answers, suggestion, and support.
